Discover the True Meaning of Resolution in 2023

What is Your Resolution for 2023?

The most common complaint that everybody has about life is disappointment. Even though there are a series of small and big joys, the positive feeling is short-lived. This is true for almost everyone. Going to work without a single break, from Monday to Saturday, is stressful. Nobody wants Sunday to end, but you get long holidays, you get bored and crave going to work. The Corona period is the best example of this. We want to be present in the moment, but we are always disappointed with the present.

Common doubts on the path of success:

  • Why does this always happen to me?
  • Why is my neighbour more successful?
  • Why am I not able to achieve my dream?
  • Why don't I get promoted?

Break the pattern of self-doubt:

In 1981, Sudha Chandran lost her leg in a road accident when she was just 16 years old. Due to gangrene in her right leg, amputation was required. That was the toughest time in the life of an aspiring dancer. But she bounced back like a warrior and won millions of hearts with her graceful dance. The audience saw her dancing so flawlessly. But the real cinema was every moment that she did not give up. What made her try it over and over again every single day was her conviction. Her conviction to break the pattern of dissatisfaction.

Make a permanent resolution:

Stop creating resolutions every year. They say, life is like a boomerang. Every word we speak is thrown into the universe, and the universe returns it to us if our resolution is strong enough. There is tremendous power in our words. Not only the words that we speak, but also the words that we think. Our thoughts are like the touch of Midas. Wherever we channel them, they will manifest with a ripple effect. Many of us do not know how important our thoughts are. Throughout the day, you have millions of thoughts that are nothing but garbage. Those that we need to discard and let go. Start creating fresh thoughts Now. Mankind is unaware of the potential of now.

Here are some magnificently written words by, Swami Satyananda Sarawati:

I know that I am untouchable to the forces

As long as I have a direction, an aim, a goal:

To serve, to love, and to give.

Strength lies in the magnification of the secret qualities

Of my own personality, my own character,

And though I am only a messenger, I am me.

Let me decorate many hearts

And paint a thousand faces with colours of inspiration

And soft, silent sounds of value.

Discover the power within You:

The habit of resolution has the potential to make you achieve whatever you desire. You have the fire within you. Just ignite it and launch yourself. This is called Sankalpa in yogic terms. Your Sankalpa has the power to guide you, to show you the right direction, and to influence you into making choices that will lead you to achieve your goals. You can achieve your goals, whether it's a Mercedes, a diamond necklace, a large donation, a global business, or getting in shape. The only way to unfold your path to success is through your strong Sankalpa: A Sincere Resolution.

Resolutions make you take charge of your life. Every single day, just declare to yourself what you want for yourself. Pretend as if you already have it. Your mind is a powerful tool that you do not know how to use. Yoga practitioners believe that whatever resolution you make with clarity, it comes to life.
