What is the solution for belly fat?
Bodhi school of yoga made an effort to answer all the questions.
A monotonous style of living, desk bound work, unhealthy eating, and high-stress levels contribute to a wider waist (potbelly). A flat belly is undoubtedly a sign of a healthy body. As people go through the middle years, the proportion of fat to body weight increases more so in women than men. Off late researches had revealed that the broader your abdomen, the higher the risk of overall health.
Do you know the facts behind belly fat?
Eventually, extra pounds tend to park themselves around the stomach. This fat typically coats some of the internal organs and hangs down like an apron from the large intestine. Larger waistlines are usually linked to a higher risk of heart disease, diabetes, and even cancer. Regardless of whether women are more liable than men to heart problems related to abdominal weight gain, it’s pretty clear that abdominal fat presents a critical health risk.
Does yoga reduce belly fat?
Consistent yoga practice with the proper diet will certainly pave the way to reduce belly fat. Most of us are aware of how weight gain is influenced by stress. That's because the stress hormone cortisol directly impacts fat storage and weight gain in stressed individuals.
Researches show that cortisol can apparently relocate fat cells deep into the abdomen in the form of visceral fat, and that's not unsightly, but very dangerous. With regular yoga practice, you can learn to manage the stress, which brings down cortisol levels, which means losing weight.
